The Broadcast Psalter

The Broadcast Psalter, published by SPCK for the BBC, 1948

Edited by Cyril Taylor, with George Thalben-Ball as Music Advisor; the selection and revision of the Canticles was made by E.C.Ratcliff.

It was a revision of the Coverdale Psalter (BCP) made for use in the Daily Service and other broadcast studio services from the BBC.

Dr Thalben-Ball was responsible for the pointing of the psalms and canticles and the selection of chants.

A Words-only edition was published by SPCK in 1949.
