The Enchiridion

Johann Anastasius Freylinghausen

English hymn-books (selected list), with hymn texts or (mainly) tunes which can be traced to Freylinghausen's Gesangbücher.

Hymn numbers in the selected books are given before each Tune Name or Text incipit. These highlighted numbers provide a link back to the Notes on each Freylinghausen hymn. English Tune names are shown in bold. The Text incipits are those in the Freylinghausen Gesangbücher; they do not necessarily correspond to the hymn text in the English book.

"+" after a hymn number means "tune occurs more than once in this book".
