Chamber Organ

A small Chamber Organ (one-manual, four ranks, no pedals) has recently been sold by the United Reformed Church, Church Stretton, Shropshire, to a purchaser in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

The purchaser did not require the Blower motor, which is available for collection by anyone interested.

The motor is in full working order, very quiet in operation. It was manufactured by Watkins and Watson Ltd under the Discus label, the well-known company which has supplied motors for many organs throughout the UK and elsewhere.

The electrical specification is
Amps: 1.6
Volts: 230
RPM: 2850
HP: 1/6th

The motor is sprung suspended inside a soundproof box,, with a length of 6" diameter trunking to connect to a reservoir. It incorporates a sliding shutter which can be linked to the top of a reservoir to provide a steady wind pressure control. Electrical wiring, including a take-off connection for a remote console switch, is connected to an isolating switch on the outside of the box.

The church has no forther use for the motor, and would be pleased to donate it to any group or individual who is prepared to collect it from Church Stretton.
